"Good thing to do on a cold day outside. We're looking forward to the spring and summer getting out there hiking, camping, and this would be a luxury component to it," Khan shared with FOX 9.
The Khans are part of the anticipated 20,000 attendees at the St. Paul RV Supershow this weekend. Manufacturers are striving to attract younger buyers by offering a variety of options, ranging from vintage cruisers to mini-lofts resembling tiny houses. The evolution of RVs has shifted from simple boxes on wheels to luxurious spaces, catering to individuals who want to treat themselves while enjoying the outdoors, according to Darren Mann, the show's promoter from K & D Productions.
Simultaneously, the Minneapolis Boat Show is creating waves in the City of Lakes, expecting around 30,000 visitors. Boating enthusiasts, like Gary Adamich, see the show as an opportunity to explore new possibilities. Adamich, who bought a pontoon during the pandemic, is on the lookout for upgrades. "They've made a lot of changes from four years ago when I bought my pontoon, and it's amazing the stuff that's out there now," Adamich commented.
Even in the midst of winter, the allure of being out on the water is enough to warm the spirits of those attending. For some, the desire to escape to sunny destinations is strong, offering a welcome distraction from the brisk winter weather. "Probably my wife, she loves the sun, wants to get away. If it was up to her, I would probably be out somewhere right now if we could. Somewhere, but that's not going to happen. Not in this winter," Adamich added.
